Event: The Embassy is aware of a planned protests in Cartagena on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. The demonstrations are expected to begin at 10:00 a.m. departing from Camellon de los Martires and 4:00 p.m. departing from Mercado Bazurto, continuing on Avenida Pedro de Heredia to Castillo de San Felipe.
The Embassy advises U.S. citizens to avoid areas around demonstrations/protests/marches whenever possible and exercise caution when in the vicinity of large gatherings as even peaceful demonstrations have the potential to turn violent without any warning.
